A Solar Photovoltaic Array and Grid Source-Fed Brushless DC Motor Drive for Water-Pumping Applications

This article presents a brushless DC motor drive using solar photovoltaic (PV) array and grid. Solar PV array-fed systems typically need DC–DC converter stage in order to optimize the array-generated power utilizing maximum point (MPP) tracking technique. In this work, boost is used for MPP purposes. work utilizes an incremental conductance (INC) MPP-tracking algorithm. A bridgeless asymmetrical without bridge rectifier at grid side improve quality supply mains. The presented amalgamation of second (buck boost) with fourth-order (Cuk) converter, which lowers net system’s order. input inductor Cuk manages current profile and, thus, eradicates filter comes several advantages, such as removal, component reduction, elimination. performance examined all three scenarios: first, when energy are both present; second, only source energy; third, energy. dual-source-based system has been developed on matrix-laboratory/Simulink. results deployed discussed verify drive-system performance. also detailed stability analysis mathematical modeling power-quality different converters’ bode diagram pole-zero plot.
